Despite being highly-qualified sales professionals who are collectively responsible for managing over 1400 Tridel condominium sales in 2010 worth $600,000,000 in value, Winnie Chan and Winson Chan are extremely humble when it comes to their success.
Most recently, the two Regional Sales Managers received the Best High-Rise Sales Managers distinction at the annual BILD awards held this past Friday.
“I received the award on behalf of the sales team,” said Winson. “You cannot be cannot be best sales manager without the best team behind you.”
Both Winson and Winnie credit the leadership of Jim Ritchie and Sam Fung, as well as the hard work of their team made up of over 30 sales representatives and admin staff.
“Jim saw the sales side of me back in 1994 when I was still doing customer care, so I owe it to him for helping me reach my potential,” said Winnie.
In describing their working relationship, described as a special kind of “synergy,” Winnie and Winson say working together for so long has helped build mutual understanding and trust.
“We’ve worked together for 17 years now, so we naturally work towards our strengths,” said Winson. “I engage the real estate broker community while Winnie trains staff and goes through with the sales process.”
Besides teamwork, Winnie and Winson say catering to customers’ needs is most important in ensuring their success with condo sales.
“Nowadays there are so many brokers to choose from, so customers naturally want to look for the best customer service – people who are honest and knowledgeable,” said Winson.
Winnie adds that it’s also important to educate realtors on why choosing condos is the right decision for them.
